Free online video resources

The video below is for those of you who want to have access to hundreds and thousands of free images, sound clips and video clips. I have spent quite a few hours hunting down a lot of these free to access sites, where in a lot of cases you don´t even need to register your details to gain entry. Just download to your hearts content and start to make really great videos.

The next video I will be showing you how you can use Animoto to produce a really great video without the headache of learning how to use a video edting programme. As ever if there is anything your not sure of with your own video editing, please feel free to ask me a question and I will be happy to help you.

I made a slight error towards the end of the video. The last site I visisted I forgot to give you the url so here it is, Stonewashed

Twitter Domination & Twitter BlogRoll

Twitter is a great tool to use for Internet Marketing as well as great fun to use as well. Why? Well since I’ve got my number of Twitter followers to over 1000 it has accounted for a significant amount fo additional traffic to my website. If you use Twitter to build up good relationships with your followers then I have found many will take an interest in what you are up to on your Blog.

I rarely advertise directly my Blog URL in my Twitter posts, but obviously a lot of people go to my profile where they can then click through to my blog. I urge you to get involved with Twitter. I didn’t get it at first! But I stuck at it and now see the power and potential of it. Here is the tutorial video I promised all Alex Jeffreys Students (but open to everyone of course!) that covers the basics of Twitter plus more advanced topics and some great tools I have found that allowed me to build up my presence in super quick time. You can do it too. Remember it boosts your traffic.

Since recording the video I have just found an even better tool to manage Twitter that is in beta mode at the moment but it is awesome. Please go to the end of the post for more details after viewing the video.

Alex Jeffreys Students Meet The Big Kahuna

traffic-kahunaI am talking about Traffic Kahuna. Now this won't be for all of Alex Jeffreys students. If you are a complete newbie, this will not be worth the investment. There is going to be a pretty good learning curve for some one with experience, simply because the amount of training and knowledge that is given inside the members area is incredible.

I have been a member for almost a month now and have only scratched the surface. I am not going to go into all of the details right here because there are just to many. Here is what you need to know.

Traffic Kahuna will open it's doors tomorrow and usually the memberships sell out in a matter of hours. There are people on a waiting list for this. I waited 6 months before I was able to join. You need to go to http://www.traffickahuna.com/invite/jtmartin/blogpost and sign up for the announcement list now. The page is going to tell you that the doors are closed. Some time tomorrow you will receive an email that will tell you the doors are opened.

If you want in, I would hurry. It's not cheap, the price is $147 per month, but worth every penny. That is, if you take action and use the tools inside. If you join and don't do anything then you won't see any results so don't waste your time or money if that is what you are going to do.

Well as Some of you know I have just returned from delivering a boat to the south of France, Nice to be exact. We left Mallorca on Tuesday morning and arrived in Ampuria Brava late the same day. The following morning we set off again to cross the Gulf of Lyon, as you will see in the video below we encountered some pretty heavy seas.

What the video does not convey terribly well is how big the sea was. Imagine if you can 35 tonnes of boat sliding sideways down the face of a wave, quite unnerving ! I´m very pleased to be back in one piece

There are two videos below. The first is a video diary of the trip and the second is the first of a series of tutorials that I have planned for video production. In the first tutorial I show you how I use Windows Movie Maker. If you want to ask me any questions please feel free !

The second video which will be posted tomorrow is telling you where you can find lots of free content for your own video such as music clips, photos and free video.

Anyway I´m raring to get going again so onwards and upwards..

the video below is the tutorial for windows movie maker, I need to apologise for the audio being a bit low in parts, I hope it doesn´t spoil the video to much for you, a new mike has been ordered.

Alex Jeffreys SEO Competition Is Heating Up

And my blog is sinking into the SERPS faster than the Titanic. I just checked my blog and I am now ranked 103 for the search term Alex Jeffreys.

Fast Forward 24 hours.

That was the beginning of a blog post that I started yesterday morning and saved as a draft to finish when I got home from work. Thank goodness I got some things sorted out with my blog and discovered the reason why Google was "pimp slapping" me. My blog is now back on the second page of results and things seem to be back to normal.

The culprit was a plugin called "simple tagging". It was causing "broken" links all over my site which would keep the spider bots from being able to crawl my blog properly. When the spiders run into a lot of dead ends they will sometimes leave the site and not crawl it at all. I knew it had to be something of this nature.

Since Alex Jeffreys started the contest to get ranked number 1 for his name, I have been experimenting with different "title" tags. When it comes to on page SEO, the title tag of your blog is the most important factor followed by H1 and H2 tags. A quick note on title tags. You have 65 characters before Google cuts off your title. You also want to use your target keywords often, but naturally. It is also been proven that if you use the "strong" tag and "em" tag on your keywords, it will improve your results.

Hi,

Well, after the last week of frenetic activity on my part to draw all the elements together for the budding tigresses here on this blog, I am gonna change tack. I want to do something light and frivolous for once. I just wanna have some fun!

But, even having said that, there is a strong undercurrent in my message here to you today. And if you “get it” you will be able to motivate and inspire yourself to levels that you never thought possible. I do this regularly. So, what do I do?

Quite simply, I use music to inspire me.

“Oh yeah Gary, I do that too! You ain’t telling me nothing new here buddy!”

Really?

Well, let me ask you this. Have you ever been through your entire CD or record (sorry kids) collection and catalogued the VERY songs that “do it” to you? Have you? I will bet not. I have.

In my exasperatingly large collection - I have some 500-600 albums - some are total lemons but I have them because there is ONE track on some albums that gets me rockin’ and rollin’ like you wouldn’t believe. I’m talking about putting it on and then “watch out!” type stuff. The “zone” as I sometimes talk about.
