Alex Jeffreys Coaching Program Archives

I just got back to my room after the first day of Alex Jeffreys workshop in Vegas. Man, I am so glad that I did everything I could to make it here! Aside from getting some killer content from Alex (some cool videos to follow in a few days), I am making some great partnerships with my fellow students.

I met a couple guys that are making a big splash in the Internet marketing pool lately. You have probably heard of them.

Jit Uppal and Lance Tamashiro are a couple fellow marketers that are also building their lists with JV Giveaways but are taking their list building to a new level. Both have agreed to do interviews with me and we will talk about some of the techniques that they are using to build their list.

I am not going to reveal anything here but I will say it is some very good stuff and I guarantee you are gonna love it. Looks like I am going to achieve another one of my goals her in "sin city". I think I will call it "win city" from here on out.

Why?

Because not only am I meeting some awesome joint venture partners, I have been able to secure a link to a program that might just be a "game changer" for you. Today, Alex was telling us about a new Internet marketer that has been taking the IM niche by storm. In only about 8 months time, he is already making almost $100,000 per month!

Las Vegas or Bust!

I am getting ready to drive to the airport and catch a plane for Alex Jeffreys workshop in Las Vegas. The event is for the students from his first coaching program that started in November of last year. Once I found out he was having the event, I started saving money and added it to my list of goals for 2009.

I created my list of goals as a direct result of Alex Jeffreys coaching. The first module of the course was all about planning and goal setting which in turn makes you more productive. I set goals in 4 different areas: personal, entrepreneurial, business, and income.

The first goal was to take the wife and kids on a vacation to Venezuela. My wife is from there and has not been home to see her family in 5 years. I am proud to say that the tickets are purchased and we will be departing on June 22nd for 6 weeks of South American fun. This was made possible becuase of the things that I learned from Alex Jeffreys.

One of my business goals is to build an email list of 7500 people. I am now at about 2700 but have not even hosted my JV Giveaway yet. I am hosting one with my fellow students Garry Parkes, Gary Simpson, and Carl Barton that will be taking place within the next week or two. I intend to follow with one of my own and probably several others after that. Once again, Alex Jeffreys is responsible for prompting me to use JV giveaways to build my list.

If you live in sunny Florida, like I do, then you can feel that spring is in the air. Hi 60's at night and low 80's during the day will give you a bad case of spring fever.

It stays green down here year round so you don't notice the seasonal changes as much. I like to sit on my porch and drink coffee in the morning and here lately it has become noisy.

Not a bad kind of noise, just lots of birds chirping their celebration of the arrival of spring. But that's not what I wanted to talk about. I want to talk about "tweeting", as in the kind of bird noise you here on Twitter.

I joined Twitter back in it's infancy, mainly to secure my username "jtmartin". I didn't really participate much until recently. I have seen the awesome potential and as such, have started to do some research and look at the multitude of software and applications that are available to increase your followers and automate your Twitter account.

I ran accross one the other day and gave it a try. I was really surprised by the results so I thought I would pass it along to you. All you have to do is follow the link and enter your Twitter info.

Then promote the link they give you, but remember to put your Twitter ID in the last part of the URL. You will still see results even if you don't promote, but like all things, the more you put into it, the better results you will see.

Is Your Web Hosting Reliable?

Some of you may have stopped by and were wondering what happened to my blog. My web host had a melt down and they had to do a restore. The problem is the last back up was done in February. So my blog has taken a trip back in time, along with all of my other blogs and websites (7 total not counting my affilite landing pages).

Needless to say this has cost me several days work. I am looking for a reliable web hosting company. I am leaning towards Host Gator. They are very affordable and have a good reputation. Please let me know if you have ever had any problems with them.

Kiosk is another one I am considering although they are a little pricy for the type of account that I require. I am currently hosting around 15 domains and I need a lot of space. Hopefully, I will require lots of bandwidth too.

The account I have now gives me unlimited everything for $130 a year. Not bad but this is the second time they have had a major issue where my sites were down for more than 24 hours and it cost me a lot of time and effort. I have a small account that I got as part of a package when I purchased a lifetime pro membership to Adtactics safelist 2 years ago.

I have seen a lot of my fellow students needing help with the whole JV Giveaway thing. I have built more than a few blogs and websites, so things like setting up a thank you page or a squeeze page are pretty much routine for me.

I do remember how much I struggled with tasks like this in the beginning so I totally understand people having problems with this. Just because you have detailed instructions or even a step by step video, it can still be a daunting undertaking for a newbie. For me, in the beginning, it was mostly very frustrating and time consuming.

I have come up with a solution for those of you who are struggling and want to get started with your list building. Here is what I propose.

I will set up the following for you at no cost.

  • a squeeze page for the product that you want to give away.
  • a thank you page that will alert your subscribers that they must check their email and confirm.
  • a download page that your subscribers will be taken to after they confirm their opt in.
  • I will set up your first follow up message in Aweber (must be Aweber)
  • a video that will show you how to set all of this up yourself.
  • a video that will show you how to take these same pages and make them work for other giveaways, simply by changing the information in a config file.

Face To Face With Alex Jeffreys

This past Friday I was able to meet my new coach and mentor, Alex Jeffreys, in person. Until now, we have only communicated via webinar and email. He lives in the UK but was here in Florida attending an event that Rich Schefren was holding for his students. Saturday and Sunday were full for him so I took off work on Friday and met him at his hotel.

We had some coffee and talked mostly about list building and email marketing. Alex has said from the beginning of the coaching program that building a list and creating a relationship of trust with your subscribers is paramount to your success and was the turning point in his career. When he made list building his number one priority is when he really started to make money online.

There is nothing new about this information! Everyone reading this has heard famous internet marketers repeat over and over again, "the money is in the list". So why is it that there are still thousands of want to be internet marketers out there that are still not building a list? I do not know for sure but for some, I think it has something to do with the fact that it is not that "get rich" button that they are looking for.
