Words Of Encouragement In These Tough Economic Times
I ran across this quote and was going to post it on Twitter but it was to big. I thought that it was very pertinent to what was going on with the current economy so here you go.
"Be courageous. I have seen many depressions in business. Always America has emerged from these stronger and more prosperous. Be brave as your fathers before you. Have faith! Go forward!" ~ Thomas A. Edison
I have heard a lot of people compare what is going on with our economy to the great depression. I have heard people say that this will be the worst depression ever. I have heard the Republicans blame the Democrats and the Democrats blame the Republicans.
I think that everyone needs to stop and think for a minute. We can learn a lot from history and history tends to repeat itself. If we look to the history of the United States there is recurring trend.
The people of this country have always pulled together in the face of adversity. The quote above was from about 100 years ago. Are we the same America? I know that we are quite different as far as technological advances, but are we the same in spirit?
Do we still have the moral backbone to stand up for what we believe in? If our country or way of living was threatened could we put aside our petty political bickering so that we could stand together and form a united front.
